Siobhan Dunnavant has practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Henrico, Virginia for over 25 years. In that time she has cared for thousands of women and delivered thousands of babies while she and her husband Lloyd, a VCU graduate, raised their four children who are all products of Virginia public schools and universities.

Siobhan has always been engaged in the community. First, with children, church, and charities, then medical leadership, serving on boards engaged in healthcare innovation and served as COO of her practice. With the insight gained, she started the first OB Hopsitalist program in central Virginia, significantly shifting market share.

In 2015 she was elected to the Virginia State Senate representing Western Henrico and Hanover in the 12th District where she served for eight years. Her legislative agenda focused on pragmatic, innovative legislation that earned bipartisan support. Her committees included Finance, Education and Health, Local Government and General Laws and Technology.

Successful legislative efforts included: opening K12 schools after COVID closure, improved transparency and reduced the cost of higher education, health insurance innovation to reduce cost, interconnected healthcare systems to decrease duplicate testing, and increased prescription price transparency to ensure affordability.
