Robert L. Greene is President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Investment Companies (NAIC), the leading industry association representing diverse-owned alternative investment firms. Under his leadership, NAIC has become one of the investment management industry’s most influential organizations, expanding institutional partnerships and helping increase access to capital for high-performing investment managers.

A nationally recognized leader in investment management and corporate governance, Greene serves as an independent director for several private equity-backed companies across the financial services, technology, infrastructure, and business services sectors. He previously served as a Trustee and Chairman of the Virginia Retirement System, where he helped oversee one of the nation’s largest public pension funds, and served on the National Executive Board of Scouting America.

Greene earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University and previously served on the VCU School of Business Foundation Board of Trustees. He was appointed to the Virginia Commonwealth University Board of Visitors in 2026.

His professional honors include induction into the NASP Wall Street Hall of Fame, the National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award, and Blueprint Capital Advisors’ Power 100 “Active Icon” recognition. He is a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and a Board Member Emeritus of The Kappa Foundation.
